DTMF Decoder app for iPhone and iPad
Turns your iPhone into a simple DTMF decoder. Simply hold the iPhones microphone near to a clear source of DTMF tones (telephone "Touch Tones") and it will display the numbers being dialed. The decoded digits are also placed into a text area from which you can copy them to the clipboard.

Latest reviews of DTMF Decoder app for iPhone and iPad
Awesome!
One quibble, and a feature request. Quibble first. The name is too long, and it gets clipped. Maybe just shorten it to "DTMF"? And can you add a DTMF tone generator? That would be truly sweet. Even still, this is a brilliant app for those who know what it does and what it can be used for.
Doesnt work
I couldnt get it to recognze anything and there is now status indicator just a lame animated background.
Dont waste your $$$
I tried using this app several times with different phone numbers. Each time, the app would only "decode" the number 0. It wasnt able to recognize any other number dialed. Maybe its not sensitive enough, but whatever the case, its not worth the purchase.
Awesome app
So short story, Im in lab working on a graduate computer engineering class, my buddy says, hey you have an iPhone, dont they have an app for everything? I need to see if my dtmf tones are coming out right.. And sure enough... You are awesome man.. Ps, if you need a DTMF Decoder, this thing works... Ignore the haters, they dont know whats up.
Bah, if it only worked
Not worth it. Does not detect DTMF tones very well. No matter if I use a SIP phone or a traditional POTs phone connected to the PSTN.
Tried it on 5 different phone vendors (AT&T, Bell South, SciTech, Adtran, Polycom). Only detected a couple of digits. Glad I only paid $.99 for it.
